Café Tito: I apologize for stealing your WiFi.

Hello all my blog-readers, AKA Mom! Ha, juuust kidding.

Anways, today was my last day of my Spanish month long intensive class! Thank goodness! No more waking up at 6:30 to catch the bus. However, I was kind of getting used to it and liked having my afternoons free. So, I am going to try and continue my habit of waking up early, just not quite as early!

I am writing this post from my new favorite little spot, Café Tito. It is very cute and only about 5 blocks from my apartment. Plus, it has free WiFi, which is a major plus. So, I just sit here and use their internet connection. Aurora's internet has been super shaky lately, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So, when I need to do something important, I come here! Luckily, she did say she was going to call the internet guy next week to get it working again. I am thrilled about that because sometimes I feel like I am stealing Café Tito's WiFi! They don't seem to mind though so I just sit in my little corner for a couple hours, drink some té verde and then leave. It is a nice little getaway for me!

Monday we start our normal classes. I was going to take this Medieval Literature class but learned that I only need one literature class for International Business so I am taking Armando's Contemporary Literature class instead, along with the Camino de Santiago. I am also going to do a continuing Spanish class two days a week, hopefully in the mornings, along with a business class or maybe two, I haven't decided.

Yesterday, I came home and Aurora bought me Nutella. I think it was the closet thing to peanut butter that she could find but I was thrilled. I put some on a banana, which she thought was the weirdest thing, but it tasted great! For lunch, she made me chicken. It was the kind of chicken with the bones, rib cage, everything. I could eat some of it but not much. I wouldn't eat any of the meat that had bones on it, near it, ect. I guess I am weirdly picky like that! However, this is how I am at home too, it is the reason I can't eat ribs! So, I felt bad because she kept saying how I didn’t like it. She never makes me feel bad, she always says just eat what you want and I wont buy it anymore. Still, I know she hates to see food go to waste. For lunch, she also always cuts up cucumber for me and puts a little salt on it, so delicious. All of the fruits and vegetables here are just amazing. I have been averaging about 2.5 oranges a day, they are awesome. And, this week, for the first time ever, I ate kiwi! I think it is my new favorite fruit. I am obsessed, I ate one yesterday too! Another thing I have become obsessed with here is tea! I have it almost everyday and I just love it. I definitely am going to have to invest in some for my apartment next year!

This morning I had my final for Spanish. It was hard because I didn’t really study the right material but I think I did ok. We just have to pass our classes here and I know I at least did that so I am not to worried. The grading system is really weird here. It is on a 10 point scale, with 10 being a 100%. You can pass with a 5. The teachers basically never give out 9s or 10s. In fact, it is impossible for someone to be a straight-A student, or here, a straight-9. They consider it impossible to obtain, so it is not a goal for students. Anyways, we find out our grades next week. Dun, dun, dun.

Today I booked my flights and reserved my hostel in Barcelona. I am going early Thursday morning and coming back Sunday night. I am very excited to see Barcelona. I have always heard amazing things about the city, plus it will be fun to see Caroline and meet her brother. I was only going to stay for two days but Aurora told me I have to spend ATLEAST three days in Barcelona because there is so much to see. Now, I will be spending close to 4… All day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday. Whew, this is going to be quite the trip! Aurora will need to pack me about 8 bocadillos so I don’t have to spend too much money on food!

That is all for now! I have a Skype date with Miss Kane this evening. And, this weekend I am going to teach Aurora how to make Guacamole! Then, I am going to cook her American breakfast! Ha, she is so excited and I am too! I hope that we are able to find the same ingredients that we have in the US so that it tastes the same. I think I am going to make her French toast and maybe a scrambled egg!

Love you and miss you all! PS: I changed my picture above, do you like it??

Love, Me.
