The more I see of the world, the more it confuses me.

When I was decided to study abroad, I thought alot about what I would gain...

1. My Spanish would improve.
2. I would get to travel.
3. I would start to understand the world a little better.

While one and two may be coming true, I must say that number three is still way out of my reach. The more I meet people and the more things that I see and experience, the more I realize how alike we really all are. We all want the same things... Family, love, security, the list goes on.

Even with these things in common, we can't get this world to work the way it should.

Here is a quote I stole from my friend that studied abroad in Alicante last year that kind of describes this:

"Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends."
